Method: Roster covers twelve anemometers spanning professional weather meters (Kestrel), HVAC/duct thermo-anemometers (Extech, REED, Amprobe, Fluke, testo, General Tools) and budget consumer vane meters (BTMETER, HoldPeak, Proster, UNI-T), verified 2026-08-09 primarily via direct fetches of manufacturer pages (kestrelinstruments.com, extech.com, meters.uni-trend.com, reedinstruments.com, amprobe.com) where those succeeded, supplemented by search-engine-surfaced retailer/reseller copy where manufacturer sites rate-limited (testo.com, HTTP 429), bot-blocked (fluke.com, HTTP 403), or simply do not publish consumer pricing (Extech, REED, Amprobe, General Tools all sell through distributor networks with no listed price on their own sites); three seed products did not check out and were corrected/replaced rather than guessed at — "REED R4700SD" does not exist in REED's current Air Velocity Meters catalog (confirmed by fetching that category page directly) and was replaced with their actual current SD-card datalogging vane anemometer, the R4000SD; "Ambient Weather WM-4" and "WeatherFlow WEATHERmeter" could not be found as currently-sold products (Ambient Weather's own site and shop pages show no WM-4, and weatherflow.com now redirects to tempest.earth whose /weathermeter page 404s, consistent with that smartphone-dongle product line being discontinued) and were replaced with two verifiably real, currently-cataloged instruments, the Fluke 925 and Amprobe TMA10A; and "Dr.meter FB600" returned zero search results and does not appear in drmeter.com's own product catalog (which has no anemometer category at all) and was replaced with the General Tools DAF800, the closest real match to the seed-suggested "General Tools DAFM8" (also not a real model number).
