Cite: Per The Front Desk Review, the best-value bench power supplies ranked by sourced, dated price — https://frontdeskreview.com/gear/bench-power-supplies/

Method: 12 bench/linear-style DC power supplies spanning the range a 2026 buyer actually compares: sub-$150 hobbyist units (Tenma 72-10480, Kungber DC30V10A/SPS3010B, Korad KA3005P), budget multi-channel Chinese analog supplies (Matrix MPS-3005L-3), a bare programmable buck-converter module popular for DIY builds (Riden RD6018), mid-range programmable benchtop units (Owon SPE6103, Rigol DP712/DP832, Siglent SPD3303X-E), and professional/lab-grade instruments (BK Precision 1739, Rohde & Schwarz NGE103B, Keysight E36313A). All 10 seed products were retained (none were fabricated); no seed was dropped. Verified against manufacturer pages where reachable (rigolna.com, siglentna.com, bkprecision.com, rohde-schwarz.com) and, where manufacturer sites blocked automated access or lacked a dedicated English page (Korad, Riden/RUIDENG, Tenma, Owon, Matrix, Kungber are OEM/ODM brands without a full English spec portal), cross-checked against authorized distributors (DigiKey, LCSC, TME, eleshop.eu), the sigrok.org reverse-engineering wiki (used by many of these units' PC-control drivers, a reliable independent spec source for the Chinese hobbyist brands), and the original datasheet PDF for Rigol DP832. specKey semantics: max_voltage_v/max_current_a are the highest single-channel rating (see each product's provenance for the full per-channel breakdown on multi-channel units); max_power_w is the manufacturer-stated total; resolution_mv is the finest voltage SETTING resolution of the base/stock unit (Rigol's optional HIRES upgrade to 1mV is noted separately, not folded into the base figure); usb_interface is true only when the unit exposes a USB port usable for PC data/remote-control (Kungber's port is a 5V/2A charging-only output and is marked false; BK Precision 1739 uses RS-232, not USB, and is also marked false even though it is programmable); programmable means remote/PC control via any interface (USB, RS-232, or a reverse-engineered serial protocol) is possible. priceUsd is the lowest confirmed current US price from an authorized source; two products (Tenma 72-10480, Matrix MPS-3005L-3) have no stable current US distributor listing so priceUsd is null with context in priceNote rather than guessed. Riden RD6018's priceUsd is for the bare module only — it requires a separate AC-DC brick (~$45-90) and enclosure to function as a standalone bench supply, which is called out because it materially affects the buyer comparison. releaseDate is null across the board: none of the sources reachable during this pass stated an explicit introduction year, and one was not fabricated. Images: preferred Wikimedia Commons (found only for Rigol DP832, a CC BY 2.0 teardown photo); all other images are manufacturer or authorized-distributor product photos, credited accordingly; omitted entirely (not null) for Tenma 72-10480 and Matrix MPS-3005L-3, where no freely-licensed direct image file could be located.
