Method: Covers 14 electric guitars a buyer commonly cross-shops in 2026, spanning entry-level (Squier, Epiphone) through boutique-adjacent (PRS, ESP, Jackson USA). Two seed models were swapped for the nearest currently-sold, verifiable equivalent because the plain seed model is no longer an active catalog item: 'Squier Classic Vibe 60s Telecaster' -> 'Squier Classic Vibe '60s Custom Telecaster' (the plain SS non-bound-body Custom-less version was discontinued; only the Custom and Thinline variants are currently sold), and 'Jackson Pro Plus Soloist SL' -> 'Jackson American Series Soloist SL3' (Jackson's current Pro Plus tier has no Soloist-body model; the Soloist name currently lives in the MJ, American, and X series). priceUsd is the manufacturer's own listed US price where published, or otherwise the price shown on a major authorized US retailer (Guitar Center) verbatim at time of access; null if no US price could be verified. Several manufacturer sites (fender.com, gibson.com, jacksonguitars.com, charvel.com, gretschguitars.com) actively block automated fetches with 403/429 responses; for these, the official spec sheet and/or price was retrieved via the Internet Archive Wayback Machine's cached copy of the same manufacturer or retailer page, cited with its original URL. specs.body_wood/neck_wood describe the wood species (and construction detail where the manufacturer specifies it, e.g. neck-through vs bolt-on). scale_length_in is in inches. pickup_configuration uses standard shorthand (S=single-coil, H=humbucker) read left-to-right neck-to-bridge, e.g. SSS, HH, HSS, HSH. number_of_frets is the fretboard's total fret count. bridge_type is the bridge/tailpiece hardware as named by the manufacturer. fingerboard_material is the fretboard wood. finish is the body finish type plus a representative color/finish option. weight_lb is the instrument's shipping/body weight in pounds; left null where no manufacturer or retailer page stated an actual (non-packaged) weight.
