Reviewed named it Best Overall and Tom's Guide named it Best Budget (#5); both praised its sub-second reading speed, easy-to-read high-contrast display and attractive design. Reviewed additionally noted it is fully waterproof with a strong storage magnet (Tom's Guide did not mention those). Tom's Guide flagged a boiling-water reading that never settled (fluctuating ~2.5°F) and a glossy casing that turns hard to grip when wet or steamy, and ranked ThermoWorks' Thermapen One above it; Reviewed listed 'None that we could find' for cons.
