Method: This dataset covers 12 desktop PC motherboards across AMD AM5 (B650/B650E/X670E/B850) and Intel LGA1700 (B760/Z790) platforms, targeting the most-searched models in 2022-2025. Specifications were independently re-verified against official manufacturer product pages (ASUS/ROG, MSI, Gigabyte/AORUS, ASRock), major retailer listings (Newegg, Best Buy, Amazon, Micro Center), and review sources (Tom's Hardware, PCWorld, PC Gamer, Vortez, OC3D, FPS Review). Prices reflect US launch MSRP or the documented launch list/street price where a separate manufacturer MSRP was not stated. Booleans indicate presence (true) or absence (false) of a feature. The pcie_5 boolean is true when the board exposes ANY PCIe 5.0 interface (GPU x16 and/or an M.2 Gen5 slot); note that several B650 (non-E) boards expose PCIe 5.0 only on an M.2 slot while the GPU x16 runs at PCIe 4.0 -- provenance specifies which. m2_slots counts storage M.2 slots only (not Key-E WiFi sockets). accessedAt 2026-06-19.
