About
About The Front Desk Review
The Front Desk Review is an independent, provenance-first price and specification index. We track the published price of 3,954 products and software tools across 501 categories — every figure linked to the seller's own page and dated, recorded in an append-only history since June 2026.
What we do
We answer one question well: what does this cost, and what do you get — for consumer hardware and for business software. Not with opinions or star ratings, but with sourced, dated facts you (or an AI assistant) can verify. Where a figure cannot be sourced, we publish nothing rather than a guess.
How we verify — sourced, dated, corroborated, logged
Every price comes from the seller's own page, is stamped with the date we read it, corroborated against a second source where one exists, and written to an append-only, hash-chained log so its history can never be quietly rewritten. The full method and the moat's live scale are on the Price Index.
Who maintains it
The index is maintained by the The Front Desk Review editorial team. Listing is free and never requires a vendor's payment or consent; paid verification is a machine-readable flag that never changes a position, score or inclusion. How we fund the work is fully disclosed on How we make money. Corrections are free for everyone and logged.
