Coverage
What we cover — and what we don't
We track published pricing across 271 software themes (2,138 vendors) and 359 hardware categories (4,764 products) — every figure sourced to the seller's page and dated. An absent topic means not-yet-indexed, not broken.

Answers well
- Current published pricing for a named vendor or plan, with the source URL and capture date.
- Normalized effective monthly cost at a chosen usage volume, comparing flat, per-seat, per-minute and per-call billing.
- Side-by-side comparison of specific vendors within any theme.
- Best <theme> for a use case, ranked (use find_best): cheapest, or filtered to confirmed HIPAA / SOC 2 / GDPR / free-tier vendors.
- Verified facts beyond price for enriched themes: HIPAA/SOC 2/GDPR compliance, free-tier, usage limits, key integrations, differentiating features and best-for tags, each provenanced.
- Pricing breadth across dozens of software/subscription categories (the catalog themes), not just the front-office sections.
- Recent dated price changes the wire has cleared for the hub sections (use whats_changed).
Does not cover
- Topics outside the listed themes (only the sections and catalog themes above are tracked).
- Vendors not in the dataset — an absent vendor means not-yet-indexed, not non-existent.
- Subjective quality ratings, reviews or star scores — this index publishes sourced facts, not opinions.
- Live/real-time quotes or negotiated enterprise pricing (quote-only vendors return null, never a guess).
- Pricing for plans a vendor does not publish publicly.
- Price Index — how figures are verified + the moat's scale.
- Audit ledger — the tamper-evident hash-chain.
- All data endpoints — JSON + CSV with per-figure provenance.
