AI in a booking tool is barely priced yet — and where it is, the number is wild: $61/user/mo at GReminders vs $29 once at TidyCal
Only two of the 17 schedulers in this index put a price on AI. One charges more for the add-on than for its own base plan; the other folds an AI assistant into a one-time license.
Ask “which scheduler has AI note-taking or an AI booking assistant, and what does it cost,” and the honest first answer is: almost none of them price it. Across the 17 booking vendors in this index, exactly two put the word AI on their pricing page. GReminders sells an AI Notetaker as a paid add-on. TidyCal bundles an AI booking assistant into a paid tier. Every other vendor here — Calendly, Acuity, Square Appointments, Cal.com, vcita, Booksy, GlossGenius and the rest — publishes no AI line item at all on the plans we could price. So the buyer question really has only two live answers, and they sit at opposite ends of a very wide price range.
The two real numbers
If you want AI note-taking, that’s GReminders. The catch is where it lives on the menu. The Notetaker is an add-on available on the Professional tier, which is $47/user/mo billed monthly ($39 annual). The add-on itself — “AI Notetaker Essentials” — is $61/user/mo billed monthly, or $49 on annual billing. Read that twice: the AI add-on ($61) costs more than the plan it attaches to ($47). And because the Notetaker rides on Professional, you can’t buy it alone — the real all-in cost of AI note-taking at GReminders is $47 + $61 = $108/user/mo (or $39 + $49 = $88/user/mo annual).
If you want an AI booking assistant, that’s TidyCal, and it comes as a feature of the Individual Lifetime tier: a one-time $29 (the page shows an original $144 struck through). Not $29/mo — $29, once. TidyCal’s Free plan doesn’t list the assistant, so $29 is the entry price, but it is the entire price forever.

Why the spread is real, not a rounding artifact
These are adjacent-but-different jobs — a Notetaker transcribes and summarizes the meeting; a booking assistant helps set the appointment — so this isn’t a like-for-like price war. But the buyer question groups them (“AI note-taking or an AI booking assistant”), and grouped, the economics are lopsided in a way worth naming.
The GReminders add-on bills every month, per user. A single year of the Notetaker add-on alone is $732/user ($61 × 12), or $588 at the annual rate — and that’s before the $47 base it requires, which pushes the year to roughly $1,296/user ($108 × 12). TidyCal’s assistant is inside a payment you make once. Set the two against each other and the first year alone opens a gap north of 20x (the add-on by itself, $732 vs $29) and closer to 44x once you include the base GReminders makes you carry. Even the single-month sticker tells the story: $61 for one month of the add-on is already more than double TidyCal’s $29 for its whole license, AI assistant included.
The honest caveats
Cheaper is not the same as equivalent, and this is where a buyer can fool themselves. The GReminders Professional tier the Notetaker attaches to also carries “HIPAA Compliance w/ BAA,” 640 email reminders, 320 SMS/phone credits and a dedicated phone number — it’s a compliance-grade reminder platform, and the AI is a genuine transcription add-on. TidyCal, by contrast, publishes no HIPAA or BAA claim anywhere; its lifetime tiers cap calendar connections, and “lifetime” lasts exactly as long as the vendor does. If you handle protected health information, the $29 door is closed regardless of price.
It’s also worth separating AI from AI-adjacent add-ons so you don’t overpay for the wrong thing. Setmore, for instance, offers a $99/mo Live Receptionist add-on — but that’s a human answering service, not AI, and it isn’t a plan tier. It’s one of several standalone add-on line items scattered across this index, and it’s a useful reminder that “assistant” on a pricing page can mean a person, a bot, or nothing at all.
How to read this
For now, “AI in my scheduler” is a two-vendor question. Want note-taking? GReminders, at a genuinely steep $61/user/mo add-on ($108 all-in) — priced like the premium compliance product it sits inside. Want an AI booking assistant and no HIPAA needs? TidyCal folds one into a $29 one-time license, the cheapest AI in the index by an order of magnitude. Everyone else is silent — which means if a competing scheduler tells you it “has AI,” ask exactly which tier, whether it’s a metered add-on, and what it adds to the monthly bill, because right now those answers are the exception, not the norm.
