Importing to the Brazil: is it actually cheaper?
We haven't priced individual products for Brazil yet — but the checker works on any Brazil product link right now: paste one and we read its price, match our US price of record, and do the landed-cost math below. Here's how importing to Brazil works.
How importing to the Brazil works
- Import VAT
- 17% on the US price + shipping (CIF), above a R$ 0 de-minimis threshold.
- Duty
- 60% — Brazil applies a flat 60% import duty (Regime de Tributacao Simplificada, RTS) on parcels valued up to US$3,000, regardless of product category. The WTO ITA 0% for consumer electronics does NOT apply here. The reduced Remessa Conforme rates (0% under US$50 since 12-May-2026; 60% minus US$30 above US$50) only apply to PRC-registered e-commerce platforms, not to packages sent via a US forwarder, which fall under the standard flat 60% RTS.
- Forwarding
- MyUS, from the US — about 7-15 days.
- FX
- R$5.003/USD mid-market + 3% card spread, as of 2026-10-08.
Every verdict is computed only from these figures — it's never for sale, and we're not a shipping company, so we don't earn more when you import.
