Importing to the Colombia: is it actually cheaper?

We haven't priced individual products for Colombia yet — but the checker works on any Colombia product link right now: paste one and we read its price, match our US price of record, and do the landed-cost math below. Here's how importing to Colombia works.

How importing to the Colombia works

Import VAT
19% on the US price + shipping (CIF), above a $ 642.000 de-minimis threshold.
Duty
0% — Consumer electronics (smartphones, laptops, cameras, headphones) are effectively 0% duty: Colombia is a WTO ITA signatory covering these categories, and US-origin goods additionally qualify duty-free under the US-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement (in force since 2012). Colombia's general MFN tariff schedule ranges 0-20% (up to ~40% on a few categories), but IT/electronics fall at 0%. Note that below the USD 200 de minimis, duty is waived regardless.
Forwarding
MyUS, from the US — about 5-15 days.
FX
$3236/USD mid-market + 3% card spread, as of 2026-10-09.

Every verdict is computed only from these figures — it's never for sale, and we're not a shipping company, so we don't earn more when you import.
