Importing to the Spain: is it actually cheaper?
We haven't priced individual products for Spain yet — but the checker works on any Spain product link right now: paste one and we read its price, match our US price of record, and do the landed-cost math below. Here's how importing to Spain works.
How importing to the Spain works
- Import VAT
- 21% on the US price + shipping (CIF), above a 0 € de-minimis threshold.
- Duty
- 0% — Smartphones, laptops, tablets, cameras and headphones carry a 0% MFN customs duty in the EU under the WTO Information Technology Agreement (e.g. HS 8471 laptops, HS 8517 phones = 0%). Note: since 1 July 2026 a temporary flat €3-per-item customs charge applies to low-value parcels (≤€150) regardless of the 0% tariff, so a small-electronics parcel effectively incurs ~€3 duty plus 21% import IVA.
- Forwarding
- Stackry, from the US — about 4-10 days.
- FX
- €0.89/USD mid-market + 3% card spread, as of 2026-10-22. Rates By Exchange Rate API
