Importing to the Taiwan: is it actually cheaper?
We haven't priced individual products for Taiwan yet — but the checker works on any Taiwan product link right now: paste one and we read its price, match our US price of record, and do the landed-cost math below. Here's how importing to Taiwan works.
How importing to the Taiwan works
- Import VAT
- 5% on the US price + shipping (CIF), above a $2,000 de-minimis threshold.
- Duty
- 0% — Taiwan is a WTO ITA signatory, so smartphones, laptops, tablets, monitors, cameras and headphones import at 0% MFN customs duty. Taiwan's overall duty range is 0-30% (avg ~6.25%), but ITA-covered consumer electronics are duty-free; only the 5% business tax applies above the NT$2,000 threshold.
- Forwarding
- MyUS, from the US — about 4-10 days.
- FX
- NT$32/USD mid-market + 3% card spread, as of 2026-10-11.
Every verdict is computed only from these figures — it's never for sale, and we're not a shipping company, so we don't earn more when you import.
