Importing to the Thailand: is it actually cheaper?
We haven't priced individual products for Thailand yet — but the checker works on any Thailand product link right now: paste one and we read its price, match our US price of record, and do the landed-cost math below. Here's how importing to Thailand works.
How importing to the Thailand works
- Import VAT
- 7% on the US price + shipping (CIF), above a ฿0 de-minimis threshold.
- Duty
- 0% — Smartphones, laptops, cameras and most IT hardware enter at 0% customs duty under Thailand's WTO Information Technology Agreement (ITA) commitments; verify at the 11-digit HS-code level since a few electronics lines carry 5-20%. Duty (where non-zero) plus 7% VAT is levied on CIF value with no threshold since Jan 2026.
- Forwarding
- MyUS, from the US — about 5-12 days.
- FX
- ฿33.7/USD mid-market + 3% card spread, as of 2026-10-09.
Every verdict is computed only from these figures — it's never for sale, and we're not a shipping company, so we don't earn more when you import.
