What reviewers say
Sourced tester consensus for each — the "what people who used it think" layer, not just specs.
Tractive GPS DOG 6
One whitelisted tester, Reviewed (USA Today), covers the exact 6th-gen Tractive (sold as DOG 6), naming it Best Overall in an April 2025 editorial roundup. It praises superior tracking across multiple cell-service providers, reasonable subscription fees, waterproofing, and 6th-gen additions (improved battery, brighter nighttime LEDs, bark monitoring), while flagging bulk and occasional app lag. No whitelisted outlet published its own hands-on measurements of this generation; Reviewed's accuracy claims are aggregated from other publications rather than its own lab test. (1 sourced review.)
Praised: Fast, accurate tracking across multiple cell-service providers; 6th gen adds improved battery life, brighter nighttime LEDs, and bark monitoring; Waterproof, with reasonable subscription pricing; named Best Overall pet tracker.
Flagged: Bulkier than compact competitors such as the Fi Series 3; App can be glitchy or laggy at times.
