Three whitelisted testers agree the Paper Pro delivers a best-in-class, near-lag-free writing experience with a useful color E Ink screen and welcome backlight, but is expensive and deliberately does little else. Notebookcheck lab-measured a very dim 4 cd/m² light and ~20h idle battery; TechRadar and Engadget tested hands-on. Non-whitelist Gizmodo/CNN excluded. (3 sourced reviews, 3 lab-tested.)
Praised: Writing feel: near-zero pen latency, precise and paper-like; Color E Ink display looks better than rival Kaleido tablets and aids organization; Backlight finally allows writing/reading in the dark.
Flagged: Very expensive, especially once stylus/folio accessories are added; Deliberately limited: no browser, apps, camera or speakers; Backlight is very dim (Notebookcheck measured just 4 cd/m²).
