Both call it a highly portable, cheap entry-level e-reader with a crisp 300ppi screen but flag no warm light and a $10 price hike over the near-identical 2022 model. Neither published lab benches, so no measured values survive. Note on generation: both reviews cover the entry-level base Kindle (2024); Tom's Guide explicitly identifies it as the 11th-generation Kindle, so the '12th gen' label on this product record is not what these reviews describe (12th-gen refers to the 2024 Paperwhite).
