Two whitelisted testers (TechRadar, SoundGuys) hands-on reviewed the DJI Mic 3; both are qualitative with no lab-measured numbers. TechRadar names it Editor's Choice, calling it a class-leading upgrade over the Mic 2 that is also cheaper at launch. SoundGuys rates it 7.8, praising the sound and small size but faulting the dropped 3.5mm jack, obvious branding, and the DJI MIMO app, framing it as effectively a 'DJI Mic Mini 2 in disguise.' Tom's Guide accidentally left a transmitter running and measured 7h26m of continuous recording to depletion, matching Rode's 7-hour rating. Both note it has no noise-canceling mode and struggles outdoors in wind versus the DJI Mic 2; Tom's Guide also criticises the tiny screen, fiddly controls and mandatory companion app, while SoundGuys flags the high price and bulky, non-discreet transmitters.
