The UR22C worked perfectly fine out of the box.
In terms of build quality, the UR22C is impressive, but not quite up to snuff with my previous interface, the Presonus FireStudio Mobile.
Where the unit falls short, in my opinion, is its controls.

Fetched the official Steinberg UR22C product page as source; it is a JS-rendered SPA (returns only nav/footer text via a clean fetch) but its canonical URL and page title ("UR22C: The Perfect Portable Interface | Steinberg") confirm this exact model. The dated MusicRadar review (corroboration, published 23 July 2021) confirms the UR22C as the entry-level 2-in/2-out UR-C interface: two combination XLR/1/4" D-PRE mic/line inputs, two balanced 1/4" outputs, MIDI In and Out, USB-C (USB 3.1 Gen 1) and 32-bit/192 kHz, and lists the price as $189. A separate Vintage King fetch (MFR# UR22C, "Product No Longer Available") independently corroborated 2 inputs / 2 outputs, 32-bit/192 kHz, XLR combo inputs, 1/4" TRS outputs and MIDI In/Out. Release year is not stated verbatim on the cited pages, so release_year and releaseDate are left null.
