How we checked
Read on 2026-10-15: LiviPod's own US store lists the Starter Set (three pods, each with its own dock and patch cable, one power adapter and one Fit Kit) at $293.00, in stock with an add-to-cart button, and its buy page sells extra pods at $89 each, up to 10 pods on one power adapter. Each pod holds one kind of pill, so the compartments column counts the three pods in this set. LiviPod's FAQ says a pod holds about 150 ml, roughly 90 to 150 average-size pills and fewer for large capsules, so the capacity column gives the top of that range; that the system uses Wi-Fi when it is available and Bluetooth otherwise, with no cellular plan; that the pod glows and stays silent while the phone sounds due, late and missed alerts; and that pods need power to release a pill and have no battery backup. LiviPod's support article says each pod has a snap lid that is not a locking lid, and the key-locking Base Station is an optional accessory that the buy page lists as coming in the fourth quarter, so the set priced here has no lock. No page read gives a maximum number of doses per day, so that column is left blank. LiviPod's August 11, 2026 release, also carried by The National Law Review, says LiviPod was scheduled to launch in the second half of 2026 and is available at livipods.com, and the homepage timeline gives 2026 as the year LiviPod launched. The same team's earlier Livi dispenser is a different product.
