How we checked
Re-verified on Lifetime's official page (2026-08-19): model 71799 is a 50in steel-framed shatterproof polycarbonate IN-GROUND system, 7.5-10ft Action Grip adjustment, 3.5in round steel pole, Slam-It breakaway rim. CORRECTED adjustment mechanism: page states 'Infinite Height Adjustment' (no fixed increments) — an earlier version's '3in increments' was wrong. Price not published on the official page, so the price stays blank. The page this record cites returned 404 when re-checked on 2026-09-10 from two vantages — a datacenter connection and a residential one, so bot-blocking is not being mistaken for a dead page. This record carries no corroborating capture, so no page in it can stand in for the one that is gone. The figure stands as last read; re-sourcing it needs a live page, not a rule. The page this record cites as its source (https://www.lifetime.com/lifetime-71799-50-inch-steel-framed-shatterproof-action-grip-in-ground-basketball-hoop) is gone: on 2026-09-11 it returned 404, both from a residential connection and from a datacenter on another continent — so the page is gone rather than withheld from one asker. Nothing else in this record can stand in for it, so re-sourcing needs a live page read; the figure stands as last read.
