TechRadar hands-on ·

The lighting and the ambience on my desk have basically removed all my eye strain problems and screen-time-caused headaches that I had, and the light has become the PC gaming accessory I simply cannot live without now.
It doesn't look like you can buy the BenQ ScreenBar Halo model that I use anymore

Tom's Hardware hands-on ·

I tested out my first monitor light bar a few years ago, the BenQ ScreenBar Halo, offering premium build quality and a premium price tag to go along with it, as well as a wireless puck I had to keep on my desk.
While it was excellent and boasted an enormous number of features, this was mostly matched by the much cheaper $60 Xiaomi Computer Monitor Light Bar, with the exception of the biased lighting features.
In total, the device's MSRP was $179, which is fairly steep for a glorified handful of lights.

Source: benq.com (verified 2026-07-13) · corroborated by minimaldesksetups.com. The BenQ US manufacturer page confirms the exact ScreenBar Halo model via its spec comparison table (Halo column: 63cm x 40cm coverage at 500 lux, flat 0.7-6cm / curved 1.6-3.8cm compatibility matching the Halo body text, 5V/max 1.3A USB), and states 2700K-6500K stepless brightness/color-temperature, Ra>95 CRI, a built-in ambient sensor with real-time auto-dimming to 500 lux, and USB (corded) power. The Minimal Desk Setups hands-on review (dated Feb 1, 2022) corroborates the exact "Screenbar Halo Monitor Light" model, listing RATED POWER 6.5W and COLOR TEMPERATURE 2700-6500K, and reports BenQ indicated the price "will be around $179 USD." Brightness is published only as lux-at-distance (800 lux center) with no lumen figure, and neither page discloses product weight, so both are null per methodology.
