What reviewers say about the BLACK+DECKER Family Sized Electric Griddle

One whitelisted hands-on tester covers this griddle: Reviewed (USA Today) names the Black+Decker Family-Sized Griddle its Best Flat Top pick, praising even, quick cooking, a large 200-square-inch surface, and easy water-immersible cleanup on the ultra-slick nonstick coating, and flagging only a very short power cord. All three quotes were verified as literal matches to Reviewed's article. No tester-measured lab figures were published (dimensions, weight, and 400°F max are spec-sheet values), and retailer, blog, and aggregator reviews were excluded, leaving a single-source consensus.

  • Large 200-square-inch family-sized cooking surface
  • Fully water-immersible base makes cleanup easy on the slick nonstick coating
  • Click-and-lock temperature control dial

Commonly flagged

  • Very short power cord limits where it can be placed without an extension cord

Where reviewers disagree Single-source consensus — only Reviewed (USA Today) has a hands-on writeup, so no cross-source comparison is possible. Reviewed's summary card labels the Best Flat Top pick the GD2051B, while the review prose and pricing ($47.99) describe the plain family-sized griddle; since the product under review carries no model number, the exact model-number match should be treated as approximate. No tester-measured numbers were reported.

Reviewed lab-tested ·

Every item we tested was cooked through evenly and quickly. It produces wonderfully crispy bacon and a mean grilled cheese.
The entire unit can be submerged in water, so it’s easy to clean.
The only real downside to the Black and Decker is that the cord for the plug is very short. Unless you get an extension cord, this will determine where you can use it in your kitchen.
