The Series 9 PRO+ shaved really close on my cheeks and neck and even on the jawline.
The new trimmer on the Series 9 PRO+ is an improvement over the old one — it is a bit easier to use and more effective, mainly because it is now straight instead of curved.
The Braun Series 9 (regardless of version or generation) is in my opinion among the quieter foil shavers out there.

There is some redness after the shave, but it does not last.

On three days and two days of growth, the shaver was mean and shaved super close (for an electric shaver, that is).
I never rate these detail trimmers highly, but this one is better than most.
It's fairly loud, as you'd expect, and definitely not as quiet as a rotary shaver.
