What reviewers say about the Dyson Supersonic r Professional
Two whitelisted testers reviewed this exact model hands-on — TechRadar (used it as their primary dryer for over a month) and Tom's Guide (three months, noise measured) — and both rate it highly. Both praise it as lightweight, powerful and precise, with a strong range of hair-type-specific attachments, and both flag the bulky oversized plug and steep price, suggesting the cheaper Supersonic Nural nearly matches it. Only Tom's Guide comments on noise, measuring it as notably quiet (~65dB on low speed); TechRadar does not discuss noise at all.

The sources (2)
It's comfortable to hold and extremely easy to direct; perfect if you want to be able to dry with precision.
The switches to adjust speed and temperature are tiny and a little fiddly to use, and the positioning on the back of the handle means they proved fairly easy to press accidentally.
If you have power outlets that sit close to the floor or above protruding baseboards, it might not fit.
Noise level, low speed setting: ~65 dB · Noise level, high heat and speed: mid 70 dB range
this hair dryer is one of the fastest and quietest dryers I've ever come across.
I measured it at around 65dB on low speed, which is about the same as a noisy air fryer.
But with its feather-light design comes a pretty hefty price tag, and a bulky plug that could make it tricky to travel with.
