Kuat NV 2.0: price, specs & release date

The Kuat manufacturer product page (kuat.com/products/nv-2-0, SKU NV22G, titled "NV 2.0") confirms this is the exact top-tier NV 2.0 2-bike platform rack — distinct from the pared-down NV Base 2.0 and the discontinued original NV — and lists US MSRP $989.00 for the base 2-bike/2-inch config, 60 lbs per tray, 50-inch max wheelbase, both 1.25-inch and 2-inch hitch fits, fully integrated cable locks plus hitch lock, a foot-pedal fold/tilt pivot, and expandability via Add-Ons; it also states the NV was "redesigned entirely in 2016" into the 2.0 design. The Switchback Travel review (dated December 21, 2020, titled "Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack Review") corroborates the model as a 2-bike platform rack rated to 60 lbs per bike with integrated locks and a tilt lever, and its comparison table gives the base "3 in. max" tire width (5 inches only with the separately-noted strap extender/Phat Bike Kit), used here per the "without an add-on adapter" methodology. Model identity was verified on both pages as the NV 2.0, not the NV Base 2.0 or the original NV.
