Sonos says that the Move 2 should last for "up to 24 hours" — and it seemed to blow past that in my testing. I had the speaker playing music over Wi-Fi for 22 hours and 50 minutes when I went to bed, and the speaker still had a whopping 46 percent of its battery left.
It's a clear, well-balanced speaker that faithfully reproduces sound across all ranges of the spectrum. Bass is prominent but not overdone, and the high end is distinct and detailed
The main issue with the Move 2 is that you still sacrifice sound quality for portability. The Move 2 costs $449, the same price as the Era 300 . That speaker has four tweeters and two woofers and can play back audio in Dolby Atmos.

It provides up to 24 hours of playback, whereas the previous-gen version lasted just 10 hours. That's a huge stamina boost that results in not needing to recharge the speaker as frequently. Since it lived up to the estimate in my testing, I find this to be a huge point of convenience.
If there's one thing the Sonos Move 2 has, it's conviction in delivering a dynamic audio experience.
That said, weighing 6.61 pounds, it's not fun to tote far distances.
The large spread of sound with powerful heft returns, but it's accompanied by a sound that's nicely balanced, clean and detailed, and easy to listen to.

Overall, the sound veers a bit into “boxy” sounding territory, but the Move 2 is suitable for what kind of speaker it is.
The Move 2 doesn’t quite reach party volume without compromising the sound quality. While it is a stereo speaker, unlike the original Sonos Move, it’s a little tricky to distinguish between the left and right channels.
It has an improved battery life over the previous generation and solid connectivity over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and AirPlay 2.
