On a typical 2 hour highway drive, I get maybe just 5 falses or so on average. I'm pretty satisfied with that.
The R8w adds 2.4 GHz WiFi so firmware and GPS database updates happen automatically, and Uniden has been prioritizing updates for its WiFi models first.
