Battery life (mixed gaming, hands-on): 5-6 hours

The Ayaneo Pocket Micro excels at Game Boy emulation. Every GB, GBC, and GBA game that I tested ran perfectly.
There is one bigger problem with the Ayaneo Pocket Micro though: its speakers. They're very poor, producing a weak, muddy sound that lacks any bass or real clarity.
That said, the rectangular shape did start to dig into my palms when I attempted longer sessions.

Source: ayaneo.co (verified 2026-07-11) · corroborated by amazon.com. The AYANEO Global store page (ayaneo.co, titled "AYANEO Pocket Micro", SKU AYANEO-POCKET-MICRO) provides the full spec sheet used here: 3.5" borderless IPS at 960x640, MediaTek Helio G99, configurations of 6GB LPDDR4X / 128GB UFS 2.2 or 8GB / 256GB, a 2600mAh battery rated "up to 6 hours of continuous gaming", Android 13, and dual-band Wi-Fi 5 & Bluetooth 5.2 — priced "$ 230.95 – $ 257.95" ($230.95 base 6GB/128GB). The Amazon "AYANEO Store" listing (Model Name "AYANEO Pocket MICRO", Manufacturer Part Number AR05) corroborates the 3.5" IPS 960x640 display, Helio G99 SoC, 2600mAh battery, Android 13, and WiFi 5/BT 5.2, confirming this is the exact original Pocket Micro (not the Classic style variant, Pocket Micro 2, or Pocket S). The official ayaneo.com page returned "Coming Soon" with no specs, so the AYANEO Global sheet is the primary source; refresh rate was not disclosed and only a 1500 g shipping-box weight (not device weight) was shown, so both fields are null.
