Sony Bravia Theatre Bar 8: price, specs & release date

Verified against re-fetched source and corroboration only. Sony's official US product page (electronics.sony.com, model HT-A8000, © 2024 Sony Electronics) confirms "BRAVIA Theater Bar 8 with 11 speakers," support for Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and IMAX Enhanced, and "Original Price $999.99" (current "Sale Price $799.99," "Save $200.00"). Amazon (HT-A8000, ASIN B0CZ7N9WHK) states "Speaker Maximum Output Power 495 Watts" (total watts=495), re-confirms 11 speaker units, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced, and that the wireless subwoofer (SW3/SA-SW5) and rear speakers (RS3R/RS5) are optional and "sold separately" with box contents listing no sub/rears (so wireless sub=false, rear speakers=false). channels left blank — no page states a traditional x.x.x layout (only "11 speaker units"). voice assistant="none" — neither page lists a built-in voice assistant; Voice Zoom 3 is a TV-dependent dialogue feature ("Voice Zoom 3 with compatible BRAVIA TV"). release date/release "2024" reflects the © 2024 copyright, the "Summer 2024" IMAX Enhanced firmware note, and earliest US reviews (July 2024). HDMI earc REMOVED on adversarial re-check: neither the fetched Sony source page nor the Amazon corroboration page states "eARC" or "ARC" verbatim (both mention only "HDMI 2.1"); the prior eARC claim was attributed to sony.ca, which is not the source or corroboration URL and was not fetched, so it cannot be confirmed.
