How we checked
The LEKI USA official product page (SKU 65620622C, "MAKALU FX CARBON") confirms the exact model and lists a full spec sheet used verbatim: Shaft Material Carbon (PRC 1000) -> carbon-fiber; standard Weight per pole 252 g; Pack Size 41 cm; Sizerun 110-130 cm (standard); Number of segments 5 (Standard); Folding System ELD with SpeedLock 2 Plus lever Locking System; Aergon Air EVA-foam grip; and US MSRP $229.95. The Big Outside review (dated July 2026) corroborates model identity as the folding, one-size 110-130 cm Makalu FX Carbon at $230 with "Aergon Air foam grips" and "Speedlock 2 Plus lever locks," distinguishing it from the AS (anti-shock), Pro, and FX.One siblings. Where the two sources conflict, the manufacturer figures were used (pack size 41 cm vs the review's 40 cm; 5 segments vs the review's "three-section" phrasing); anti shock is false because LEKI sells a separate "Makalu FX Carbon AS" anti-shock model and no shock spring is listed for this base version.
