Runtime (home network + security cameras load): 75 minutes · Typical transfer time: 6ms · Max transfer time: 10ms · Noise level on battery (1-meter): 35dBA · Maximum load capacity: 330W
After yanking the power cable from the wall we were able to keep our home network and security cameras online for 75 minutes before the battery needed to be re-charged.
The humming/buzzing noise on BE600M1 when the battery is being used is rated at 35dBA from a distance of 1-meter and that is a huge reduction from the 45dBA on the older model.
I think it was better to get this new UPS over putting a new battery in the old model.

Source: se.com (verified 2026-07-11) · corroborated by dcsupplies.net. The Schneider Electric/APC manufacturer product page (se.com, source) confirms the exact model BE600M1 as an APC Back-UPS rated 600VA, 120V with 1 USB charging port and 7 NEMA outlets (2 surge-only), and describes an LED status display (no LCD). The corroborating US retailer dcsupplies.net confirms the identical model (Part Number BE600M1) via a full spec table stating 600 VA / 330 W, standby topology, "stepped approximated sine wave" output, 5 battery-backup + 2 surge-only NEMA 5-15R outlets, sealed lead-acid user-replaceable battery, ~10 h recharge, and a compact tower enclosure with status LEDs — and lists the unit new/in-stock at "$87.68". A separately fetched Amazon official APC Store listing independently corroborated 330 W max power, 10 h battery charge time, 5 battery-backup outlets, "Form Factor Compact", and a lead-acid battery (its 490 J surge rating and pounds-only weight were left null because they do not appear verbatim on the two cited pages).
