How we checked
The Insta360 official online manual (onlinemanual.insta360.com) X-Series hardware specifications page lists the Insta360 X4 in its own column — Standard Edition released April 16, 2024, 203 g body, 1/2-inch sensor, F1.9 lens aperture and 2290 mAh battery — confirming this is the exact X4 (distinct from the X4 Air, X5, X3, X2 and ONE X columns in the same table). The threesixtycameras.com dated hands-on review corroborates the full spec set (8K at 30fps video, 72 MP photos, 10 m / 33 ft waterproofing, 135-minute 5.7K30 battery life, 2.5-inch screen, 203 g weight) and states the camera sells for "$499," which I used for the price. Separately fetched Insta360 FAQ pages independently confirmed the 33 ft (10 m) IPX8 rating and the ~135-minute maximum recording runtime, and that the X4 records to microSD only (no internal storage).
