Tested by TechRadar

Consistently praised

  • Firm seat and backrest deliver full-body support and improved posture
  • In-built lumbar support adjusts easily via two dials (vertical and lateral)
  • Magnetic memory-foam neck pillow stays put, unlike strap-attached pillows
  • Breathable fabric over pleather, plus simple near-one-person assembly

Commonly flagged

  • Omniflex armrests don't lock and shift out of place under angled pressure
  • Two-year warranty is modest for a $500 chair versus higher-priced rivals

Where reviewers disagree Only one whitelisted source, so no true cross-source comparison is possible. Note: TechRadar's armrest complaint is that they won't lock in place, whereas several non-whitelisted outlets instead fault the armrests for being spaced too far apart; those outlets fall outside the tester whitelist and are not counted.

The Corsair TC500 Luxe is the dictionary definition of a premium product.
Instead, my whole body felt supported by the backrest and seat, and I didn't find myself slumping down into a position with terrible posture as I was before.
The only downside to this feature is that the armrests don't lock into place, so if you lean on them at an angle with too much force (which I did more than once when adjusting my position in the seat) they will move out of place.
