Overall, the T9 performed very well, though it fell slightly behind the SanDisk PRO-BLADE in all of the results.

it hit 1,944MB/s in sequential reads during our 4-thread IOMeter test, which was essentially double the speed of the T7, with results across the board showing a range of 35% to 100% improvement in performance over its predecessor

It's worth noting that the SanDisk Extreme Pro V2 (another recent USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 portable) outpaces the T9 in every category while the Crucial X10 Pro showed slightly better results than the new Samsung drive.

While our benchmarks aren't definitive, they reveal that the T9 is a good performer and gets close to the theoretical limits of the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface.

The main problems here are an overinflated price and a lack of software at launch.

Alas, compared to other 20Gbps drives, the T9 is merely a middle-of-the-pack performer. But it also provides the most luxe tactile experience of the pack with its textured surface and sculpted lines.

The down side to the texturing, however, is that the drive collects dust, lint, and other schmutz at a near record pace.

Where the T9 dominated over the Kingston XS2000 and Teamgroup M200 was in our 48GB transfers. Shaving almost 100 seconds off those drives' times in the aggregate.
