Garage Gym Reviews hands-on ·

The Hydrow Wave feels just like the original Hydrow during use. Despite the smaller build, we noticed no deviations from the build quality we expect from Hydrow: no shaking, shifting, or otherwise unpleasant movement from the frame.
The computer-controlled magnetic resistance is more fluid than that of most, if not all, other magnetic rowers.
At $44 per month, that adds up to $456 per year, which will equate to more than the cost of the rower itself over a period of four years.

BarBend hands-on ·

From a frame and build perspective, the Hydrow Wave is surprisingly stable despite its shorter dimensions.
Our tester noted that each stroke felt as if they were paddling against water, giving their sessions a real-world feel from the comforts of their home gym.
Monthly Hydrow membership is practically required for optimal use

Reviewed hands-on ·

the handles are easy to grip and feel secure through sweaty workouts, something we felt was missing in the original model.
the Wave feels just as sturdy, despite the lighter heft.
every once in a while, when sliding forward towards the screen, the Wave would make a fairly loud snapping noise.

TechRadar hands-on ·

I think it's an excellent machine and one of the best pieces of kit I've used in a while
it's a solid feeling machine, with no wobble when my large frame is rowing hard.
At 46kg, it's also heavy too, especially as the weight is mostly towards the front end, so moving it around isn't really practical unless you're feeling strong.
