I used the Ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium for a couple of weeks, and found that it worked flawlessly the entire time. Its display was responsive, and menus were easy to navigate.
The speaker in the Smart Thermostat is pretty weak — as tinny as a first-generation Echo Dot — so it would be the last choice for me if I wanted to play music.

current owners will have trouble justifying an upgrade to this new model just to get an air quality sensor, better motion detection, and a larger display with a tweaked user interface.
We tested its temperature accuracy across a range from 55°F to 78°F using a National Institute of Standards and Technologies certified thermometer.
The touchscreen is responsive and the display screen is easy to read.
the extra features like Spotify do make this thermostat more complicated to use than alternative systems like the Nest Learning Thermostat
