Where reviewers disagree Testers split on the deck feel and on reliability. TechRadar called the 59-inch shock-absorbing belt 'a pleasure to walk or run on,' while Garage Gym Reviews flagged the lack of cushioning as a drawback for joints and both GGR and BarBend called the sub-60-inch deck too short for serious runners. On reliability, GGR's own unit stayed dead for 6+ months and BarBend's needed a replacement screen, whereas Tom's Guide reported a 'first-class' and 'completely stress-free' setup.

The lack of a cushioned deck may make people with chronic joint pain think twice before purchasing this treadmill.
As someone who has tested and reviewed some of the best treadmills for years, it's safe to say that the Peloton Tread is one of the best I've ever used.
The speed and incline adjustable knobs on the arms of the treadmill are fantastic.
There's also no fan on the Tread, which is a little annoying, especially if you don't have air conditioning or a window nearby when using the treadmill at home.

It felt very sturdy and safe while running and walking even at the highest incline and speed
the 59-inch running deck is shy of the standard 60 inches we tend to recommend for running or for those with long strides.

The Peloton Tread comes with a USB-C port for charging your devices but there's no fan, which feels like an oversight for a treadmill of this price.
