The Focus Vision shines best when it comes to overall build quality and comfort.
That chip originally debuted in 2020, and it simply seems inexcusable in a high-end headset today.
The Focus Vision's eye tracking feature also refused to work for me entirely, even after I tried to calibrate it without glasses multiple times.
The end result is a PCVR experience that takes full-advantage of the roughly 5K combined resolution of the 2,448 x 2,448 pixel-per-eye displays.
The pad on the back of the head strap feels paper-thin – providing effectively zero cushioning from the solid battery housed inside – and it simply isn't comfy for extended periods of time (I'm talking 15 minutes or more).

fresnel lenses on a $1,000 headset is just unacceptable.
The use of a several-year-old chipset is problematic, and with limited software, this is not as "standalone" as it may seem.
the combination of the 2448×2448 panels and lossless video signal provided image quality a noticeable step above the compressed Quest 3 setup I usually use for VR sim racing, with genuinely impressive detail - in the center of the lens at least.
As with all fresnel lenses, I saw a noticeable blur anywhere beyond of the center of the lens, and in practice this means you'll rotate your head more and your eyeballs less.
