On low light, TechRadar wasn't overly impressed and called AI Night image quality questionable, whereas Tom's Guide called AI Night mode a welcome feature.

Real-world flight time per battery (measured, until return-to-home at 15%): ~22 minutes

its AI Track options for subject tracking include AI Spotlight, AI Follow and AI Parallel. These all work incredibly well.
during testing the batteries typically lasted around 22 minutes before Return to Home was suggested by the drone at 15% battery level.
The caveat with 48MP/8K photo capture is that it's only available in JPEG format, and not in raw.

Tom's Guide lab-tested ·

Charge time 0-100% for all three batteries via charging hub (measured): just under two hours

I've fallen in love with the smooth 4K video and detailed 48MP stills that I captured with this drone.
I crashed the drone twice into some tree branches but it was absolutely fine and ready to take off again right after.
However, the Atom 2 can't shoot RAW 48MP photos, allowing little room for post-production.

Potensic official spec page (potensic.com/atom-2-specs.html) explicitly states: Effective Pixel 48 MP on a 1/2" CMOS; Video Resolution 4K 3840x2160 (16:9) @24/25/30fps (4K max framerate is 30fps); Max Flight Time 32 mins; Max Transmission Distance 10 km (PixSync 4.0); only a Downward Vision System with no forward/side/rear sensors (hence downward-only); and Class C0 (EU), the regulatory class for sub-250 g drones. The official Potensic store (store.potensic.com/products/atom-2) corroborates 48MP / 4K30 HDR / 10km transmission and lists the base Single Battery Kit + Standard controller at $389.99 list price (currently 12% off to $344.99). Exact model confirmed: ATOM 2 (Model DSDR23A), not a sibling (ATOM / ATOM SE / ATOM LT / ATOM 3). NULLED: weight_g — the spec page's "Takeoff Weight" cell did not render a numeric value and neither fetched URL contains "249" verbatim (the 249 g figure originated from a third-party Drone Girl review that is not among the fetched sources); release and top-level releaseDate — neither fetched URL contains any release date (the "Feb 18, 2025" launch date lives on a separate news page that was not fetched/verified). sub250g retained as explicitly supported by the "Class C0 (EU)" classification.
