What reviewers say about the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti
All three whitelisted testers (Tom's Hardware, Tom's Guide, TechPowerUp) benchmarked the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB and agree it is a solid 1080p/1440p mainstream card lifted mainly by DLSS 4, but a weak generational step: roughly 13 to 15 percent raster over the 4060 Ti and, per TechPowerUp, still 16 percent behind last-gen's RTX 4070. TechPowerUp's numbers come from MSI's Gaming OC card; the 8GB variant went unreviewed because Nvidia did not sample it.

Commonly flagged
- Real-world pricing and availability run well above the ~$429 MSRP · 3 sources
- 8GB variant was not sampled for review and 8GB is seen as inadequate for modern games · 3 sources
- Weak generational uplift over the RTX 4060 Ti (called minor/small, roughly 13-15% raster) · 2 sources
- Still slower than last-gen RTX 4070, which remains 16% ahead
Where reviewers disagree Tom's Guide is the most enthusiastic, framing the card as 'DLSS at its best' and a 4K single-player dream, while Tom's Hardware and TechPowerUp stress the underwhelming ~13% raster gain. Only TechPowerUp explicitly benchmarks the 16% shortfall against the RTX 4070 and uniquely flags ~14% manual-OC headroom, calling the card essentially underclocked from the factory.

Overall performance vs RTX 4060 Ti 16GB: +15%
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB delivers 15% more performance than its 4060 Ti 16GB predecessor, at a theoretically lower price and with a lot more memory bandwidth.
In our opinion, $50 for double the VRAM should be a no-brainer for most gamers.
The biggest unknown with the RTX 5060 Ti is pricing and availability.

Being able to get over 100 FPS at 4K ray-tracing: ultra settings on Cyberpunk 2077 is a stellar achievement in a $430 card.
the decision to stick to the same 128-bit memory bus as the previous generation GPU (how much data can be moved per clock cycle) does make for some small bottleneck moments.
If you need strong AI workload performance, the RTX 5060 Ti is decidedly mid-range with only small uplifts over the 4060 Ti.
Rasterization uplift vs RTX 4060 Ti 16GB at 1440p: +13% · Rasterization uplift vs RTX 4060 Ti 16GB at 4K: +20% · Ray tracing uplift vs RTX 4060 Ti 16GB: +10% · Performance uplift vs RTX 3060 Ti: +31% · Deficit vs RTX 4070: 16% behind · Manual overclock real-life gain: +14% · Load temperature (MSI Gaming OC card): 62 C · Noise (MSI Gaming OC card): 27 dBA · Gaming power draw without ray tracing: ~160 W
Noise levels are incredible, too, with only 27 dBA, the card is whisper-quiet, very impressive.
Compared to the RTX 3060 Ti from two generations ago, the performance uplift is only 31%, usually we expect a doubling in performance over two generations.
The RTX 5060 Ti does not catch last generation's RTX 4070 either, which remains 16% ahead.
