Where reviewers disagree Battery framing diverges by test method: Tom's Hardware's active streaming test gave 12h21m and PCWorld's high-load run only 3.5h, while Notebookcheck and PCWorld cite ~17h for light/video loads — so real-world endurance depends heavily on workload, not a single figure.

Battery life (streaming/web/OpenGL, 150 nits): 12 hours 21 minutes · Display brightness (light meter): 354.4 nits · Geekbench 5.5 single-core: 1,809 · Geekbench 5.5 multi-core: 10,962 · SSD 25GB file copy: 1,279.88 MBps · Handbrake 4K-to-1080p transcode: 6 minutes 17 seconds · Weight: 2.82 pounds
The Asus Zenbook 14 OLED is a slim ultraportable with great price for the high specs. It has solid performance for short tasks, but in the long term it throttled in our testing.
But in use, the keys felt a bit mushy.
We saw the Zenbook 14 throttle pretty hard on our looped Cinebench test. While it started with a high score of 13,843.45, it quickly catered and eventually landed in the high 8,000s.
Max SDR brightness (average): 392 cd/m² · Max HDR brightness (full screen): 620 cd/m² · Contrast ratio: 19550:1 · WLAN battery test (150 cd/m², 60 Hz): almost 12 hours · Video runtime (150 cd/m²): just under 17 hours · Fan noise under load: 39.3 dB(A) · Bottom surface temp under load: 46.8 °C · Weight: 1.21 kg
Its 120-Hz 3K OLED display also boasts great picture quality and accurate color profiles, meaning you can easily edit photos and videos (in P3 as well as sRGB).
A great case, beautiful screen, excellent speakers and good runtimes: The new Zenbook 14 OLED could be a very good laptop if it wasn't for its overstrained fans as well as electronic noises.
The biggest problem the Zenbook 14 faces is its cooling, as despite its high power limits, Asus only makes use of one fan—and it certainly has its hands full.
Battery life (high load, full brightness): 3 hrs 30 min · Battery life (low load, low brightness): approx. 17 hrs · Cinebench R23 multi-core: 11,057 points · Geekbench 6 multi-core: 12,577 points · SSD disk read: up to 4,925.51 MB/s · SSD disk write: up to 3,292.92 MB/s · Noise level range: 0-39 dBa
The new Asus Zenbook 14 OLED has solid battery life and a gorgeous OLED screen.
That said, it's not much faster than its predecessors even with the high-efficiency Intel Core Ultra processor.
If you set your computer's fans to "Performance Mode", you may notice aggressive hissing sounds as they power up to cool things down.
