Tested by What Hi-Fi
Consistently praised
- Cute, well-built, genuinely pocket-sized cylindrical design
- Excellent automatic setup (keystone, focus, obstacle avoidance)
- Impressively large, dynamic sound from a single mono speaker
- Good SDR performance with surprisingly deep black levels and wide color for the class
Commonly flagged
- Not very bright; needs a dark room and image effectively capped around 70 inches
- Weak HDR black levels and lack of dynamism/pop
- Feels a little expensive for the performance
Where reviewers disagree Only one whitelisted source qualified, so no cross-source comparison is possible. Even within it, What Hi-Fi's verdict is internally split: a genuinely fun SDR watch in a dark room, yet too compromised on brightness and HDR to earn a full recommendation over the step-up Nebula Mars 3 Air.

input lag (Game Extreme mode, 1080p/60Hz): 45.1ms
Despite only having a mono speaker, the Nebula Capsule 3 manages to deliver an impressively large and dynamic sound.
Our own experiments suggest that the picture starts to look a bit too dull for comfort, even in a pretty dark room, if you try to push it much beyond 70 inches.
It's small enough to fit in a pocket and performs well in the right circumstances, but the Capsule 3 is too limited to get a thorough recommendation
