What reviewers say about the Wyze Video Doorbell Pro
Three whitelisted hands-on reviewers (Tom's Guide, PCWorld/TechHive, Reviewed) rate the Wyze Video Doorbell Pro a strong sub-$100 value with an included indoor chime and a very easy dual-power (battery or hardwired) install. It offers a wide 150-degree view, and Tom's Guide and Reviewed both say it shows faces clearly day and night. All three flag that the best features (AI person/package/vehicle detection, full-length clips) require a Cam Plus subscription. Reviewed's real-world test drained the battery in about two weeks versus Wyze's 180-day claim. No lab-measured specs beyond that battery observation.

Where reviewers disagree Battery life splits the sources: Tom's Guide and PCWorld both repeated Wyze's up-to-six-month figure without contradicting it, while Reviewed's hands-on test drained in about two weeks. Detection reliability also diverged: Tom's Guide hit a large number of package-detection false positives, whereas PCWorld called the doorbell a great performer with few false alerts over its two-week test.

The Wyze Video Doorbell Pro gets you an expansive view and package detection for less than $100, making it one of the better deals when it comes to video doorbells.
Ring's camera tended to deliver much richer colors and a bit more definition than Wyze's camera.
During my testing, Wyze's package detection feature delivered a large number of false positives, notifying me there was a box waiting at my doorstep when in fact, there was only my doormat.
The Wyze Video Doorbell Pro worked great and the installation was one of the easiest I've experienced.
the lack of local storage is unfortunate and means you need to pay a subscription fee to access the most useful features, which in turn raises the total price of the unit over its lifetime.
Once my trial subscription ended, I did notice it failed to detect some movement, including one instance where a large delivery truck pulled up.
Tested battery life (real-world, busy street): ~2 weeks
The Wyze Video Doorbell Pro has a wide view that shows faces clearly at day and night, it works with Alexa and Google Assistant, and it offers multiple installation options, making it an ideal fit for any front door.
The doorbell lasted about two weeks for me under normal settings.
We no longer recommend consumers purchase Wyze cameras, based on recent, serious privacy and security concerns and failure of Wyze to proactively address these privacy and security concerns.
