What reviewers say about the GoPro HERO13 Black

Both whitelisted testers (Tom's Guide, TechRadar) reviewed the exact HERO13 Black hands-on; only Tom's Guide produced instrumented measurements (battery runtime and overheating time). Both praise excellent 5.3K video and class-leading HyperSmooth stabilization, the versatile auto-detected HB-series Lens Mods, and improved battery/heat management, but flag that it is an iterative upgrade on the same sensor and resolution whose low-light image quality trails larger-sensor DJI and Insta360 rivals.

Battery runtime (4K/60p, indoors, standardized test): 80 minutes · Overheating time (4K/60p, indoors): 54 minutes

In my standardized 4K/60p indoors action camera battery testing, the GoPro Hero13 Black managed 80 minutes before dying. That's pretty good, and an improvement over previous generations.
GoPro's HyperSmooth is still a whisker ahead of the pack.
with denoising set to high, the camera has had to smooth out a lot of noise, resulting in a blurry image.

TechRadar hands-on ·

the Hero 13 Black is a polished 5.3K shooter, with improved slow-mo recording.
when compared to rival action cams, the Hero 13 Black admirably keeps a lid on overheating.
Image quality of Insta360 rival remains better in low light
