What reviewers say about the GoPro LIT HERO
Two whitelisted hands-on reviews — Tom's Guide and TechRadar — both tested the exact GoPro LIT Hero. Both praise its ultra-compact, easy-to-mount body and passable 4K in good light, and both flag the fiddly tiny screen and basic menu, the lack of in-camera stabilization (footage must be routed through the Quik app), weak low-light output from the small 1/2.8-inch sensor, an overpowering front LED, and questionable value for the spec. Tom's Guide rated it 3.5/5; TechRadar published only component scores (Price 3.5, Design 4.5, Performance and Image quality around 3–3.5) without a single overall figure.

Where reviewers disagree The two testers split on the verdict. Tom's Guide (3.5/5) still calls it worth shortlisting, especially on sale, while TechRadar concluded it 'doesn't really hit any target market well' and couldn't recommend it to anyone in particular. They also diverge on thermals: Tom's Guide praised the camera for not overheating across 103 minutes of continuous recording, whereas TechRadar found the body 'warmed up pretty rapidly' during longer clips. Tom's Guide additionally singled out the internal audio as a positive surprise, a strength TechRadar didn't cover.

Battery life (tested indoors, 4K/60fps until battery dies): 103 minutes · Continuous recording without overheating: 103 minutes
using the same 1,255mAh battery, the LIT achieved exactly the same figure at 4K/60fps — very impressive given the higher frame rate, and not something I was expecting.
The GoPro LIT Hero's internal audio surprised me… for the better.
the price has been jacked up by $70, which feels steep
Battery life (continuous use, chilly outdoor conditions): around an hour and a half
it's one of the smallest and lightest action cameras you can find anywhere, and there's no danger of it weighing you down
The camera struggles in low light thanks to its tiny imaging sensor, and despite offering 4K shooting, footage is anything but pro-level.
It's so bright at the maximum setting that I found it impossible to perform a piece to the camera with it shining in my eyes.

Amazon US listing rendered EUR pricing (order set to ship to Germany: EUR 186.03, list price EUR 236.36) with no USD figure. The $269.99 US MSRP originated from a PetaPixel article, which is NOT among the fetched source/corroboration URLs, so no USD price could be verbatim-confirmed. |

Source: gopro.com (verified 2026-07-10) · corroborated by amazon.com. Verified against re-fetched GoPro official LIT HERO page (gopro.com learn/lit-hero, CHDHF-132) and Amazon US listing (GoPro Store, model CHDHF-132-AT, UPC 810116384129, ASIN B0FP5R9BDZ); both describe the exact LIT HERO model. Confirmed from fetched text: 4K60 video (both pages), HyperSmooth stabilization automatically applied in the Quik app (both), waterproof to 16ft/5m (Amazon states "(5m)"), 4:3 mode uses "all of the 165° lens" (GoPro), 1.76" touch screen (Amazon "Screen Size 1.76 Inches" + "Touch Screen"), item weight 93 grams (Amazon), CMOS sensor and 12MP / 4K60 MP4 video (Amazon). NULLED for lack of verbatim support in source/corroboration: sensor size "1/2.8\"" (neither page states a sensor size, only "CMOS"); release date 2025-10 (no release/ship date on either fetched page); priceUsd $269.99 (GoPro shows no price, Amazon rendered EUR). The display spec was trimmed to "1.76\" touch screen" because "rear", "LCD", and "no front display" appear on neither fetched page. All nulled values originated from a PetaPixel article that is not among the fetched source/corroboration URLs. Exact model confirmed (not a sibling/variant), so publish remains true; 6 of 8 spec keys survived.
